TRAVEL TO PERU
Peru is located in the central and western part of South America. It is bordered to the west by the Pacific Ocean, to the south by Chile, to the east by Bolivia and Brazil and to the north by Colombia and Ecuador. We would be delighted to include Peru in your tour if you wish

Peru's history dates back to around 20,000 BC, when the territory began to be populated by groups of Men who hunted and gathered. Theories differ as to the true origin of American man: is American culture indigenous or the result of an Asian migration? It seems that the second hypothesis has much more anthropological, archaeological and literary (legends and traditions) evidence. In South America, real civilisations developed that we call ‘pre-Inca’.
Peru, land of the legendary Incas, has retained much of its mythical side. The cultural capital of Cusco offers a glimpse of the country's historical pride as the center of the Sacred Valley and a base for exploring the lost city of Machu Picchu. The Quechua and Aymara people, descendants of the Incas, still fight today to promote their Spanish-influenced culture to create a rich Peruvian culture of art, architecture, and music. Travelers have the opportunity to watch the sun set over the Pacific or climb the highest peak in the snow-capped Andes.

The climate in Peru varies according to the landscape. Throughout the country, the rainy season extends from January to March. Sun worshippers should be aware that although it is a little humid, the coast is very hot at this time of year. There is perpetual fog during the rest of the year.
Peruvian cuisine has quickly become famous the world over. Its traditional staples such as maize, potatoes and rice have been combined with Spanish, Basque and Asian food to become a gustatory delight, an exceptional and renowned gastronomy.
Main cities in Peru:
Lima:

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991, Lima may not be the city with the most charm, but it is still a recommended stop-off when you come to Peru! This is the capital of Peru, the financial, commercial and political heart of the country, founded in 1535. It is one of the few capitals in Latin America to be bordered by the sea. Its historic centre, declared a World Heritage Site, is home to most of the city's historic buildings. The Plaza de Armas is undoubtedly the epicentre, along with the Iglesia Mayor, the Town Hall and the Palacio de Gobierno.
Cusco:

The oldest city in South America, it was once the capital of the Incas and as such is still brimming with many treasures.
The former capital of the Inca empire, is the most beautiful, with a main square surrounded by arcades, white facades and wooden balconies, making it one of the most impressive corners of colonial America. Staying in one of the city's palaces, situated at 3,400 metres above sea level in the heart of the Andes is a pleasure more than recommended.
Ica:
It is the capital of the department of Ica, one of Peru's 24 departments.
It is one of the most spectacular places in Peru. Particularly in the case of the Huacachina oasis, an exceptional and impressive landscape. Between its oasis straight out of the movies and its phenomenal dunes, you'll be left speechless.
Other places are just as wonderful and recommendable such as Paracas or the famous Nazca lines.
Arequipa:
It's a city that also deserves your attention. Surrounded by volcanoes and known as the White City, it resembles an Andalusian town, with its welcoming courtyards and streets reflecting the legacy of its Spanish past.
The essentials:
Titicaca lake

It is the highest navigable lake in the world, and therefore a sight not to be missed. Surrounded by dense vegetation dominated by totora reeds, it is inhabited by several islands, each with a different story to tell.
Taquile, Amantaní, and the floating islands of Uros offer experiences where you can experience firsthand the traditions and customs of a people who have managed to preserve the best of their environment and coexist harmoniously with it.
The lake has a surface area of approximately 8,490 km2 with a maximum depth of 280 meters. Its highest elevation is 3,810 meters.
The population living around the lake is mainly dedicated to fishing and crafts. Lake Titicaca is connected to Peru and Bolivia by the Peruvian port of Puno and the Bolivian city of Huaqui.
Vinicunca

Vinicunca, better known as the Mountain of Seven Colors, is one of the most majestic attractions. This astonishing site is located in the Peruvian Andes, in the department of Cusco and the province of Canchis, at an altitude of 5,200 meters. It belongs to the town of Pitumarca, which calls it Cerro Colorado. Located on the path to the imposing "snow-capped Ausangate," this site was known long before by seasoned adventurers of the time.
It is the result of a geographical peculiarity, some say an accident, belonging to the Ausangate mountain range in the Vilcanota range. It is the fifth highest mountain in Peru, with its highest point at approximately 6,300 meters above sea level.
Its coloring is natural, due to the large amount of eroded sedimentary rock, which gives it the appearance of a rainbow (7 colors).
Machu Picchu

World-renowned, it is a World Heritage Site and is part of the Sacred Valley. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and can be accessed in a variety of ways: by train, bus, helicopter, or by walking the Inca Trail.
Although it may be a cliché, Machu Picchu alone justifies a trip to Peru.
The ancient Inca citadel, discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and declared a World Heritage Site in 1983. Located at 2,500 meters above sea level, it offers an impressive and thought-provoking panorama.
Access to this sacred city, located 130 kilometers from the city of Cusco, lies on an interior plateau of the Amazon jungle that can be a real adventure. The Inca Trail can be traveled by train or on foot, a route that lasts several days, along paved roads through mountains, forests, and rivers.
Conclusion:

This country has a great variety of landscapes and different regions; on the coast we can enjoy spectacular sunshine and vast beaches, while in the mountains its imposing territory and jungle amaze everyone with its exotic and wild vegetation. Add to that the encounter with this local culture, warm and caring, and you're there, all you have to do is book!
