GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

1 - Registration

Registration implies acceptance of our terms and conditions. Registration will be effective upon payment of the deposit for the trip and subject to availability. Unless otherwise agreed, the balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of services. The client will then be asked to provide information about the participants (names, surnames, dates of birth, and passport numbers) as soon as possible to guarantee reservations. Chile Travel Agency cannot be held responsible if the information is not received on time and if reservations are affected as a result.

2 - Cancellation

All travel cancellations by the client must be made by email. The amounts paid will be refunded subject to the following deductions.

- If you cancel more than 30 days before departure: 10% of the total trip cost will be retained, as well as 100% of the cost of domestic flights.

- If you cancel between 30 and 15 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost will be retained.

- If you cancel less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the total trip cost will be retained.

- In case of no-show: 100% of the total trip cost will be retained, as well as 100% of the cost of domestic flights.

Special refund conditions may apply to certain included services, such as... cruises.

Chile Travel Agency will make every effort to recover the amounts paid from the service providers. An amount exceeding the clauses mentioned above may be returned to the client in the form of a refund or credit.

These refund conditions apply if you are a direct client of Chile Travel Agency. If you booked through an intermediary agency or platform, that third party's refund conditions will apply.

3 - Force Majeure

Chile Travel Agency reserves the right to cancel or modify a program due to force majeure (war, states of emergency, strikes, riots, terrorist threats, natural disasters, fires, weather conditions, airport closures, etc.) that prevents the provision of minimum safety conditions. In the event of cancellation, Chile Travel Agency will not be required to refund the amounts paid, and participants will not be entitled to any compensation. An amount exceeding the clauses mentioned above may be returned to the customer in the form of a refund or credit note.

4 - Program Changes

For justified reasons, Chile Travel Agency reserves the right to modify transportation, accommodation, itinerary, and the schedules of certain excursions, without participants being entitled to any compensation. Chile Travel Agency is not responsible for the consequences of any program changes caused by airport closures, weather conditions, or other reasons, such as flight delays, strikes, changes in aircraft type, and/or any other force majeure event. Additional costs incurred due to such program changes are the responsibility of the passenger. Chile Travel Agency accepts no liability for personal injury, accidents, illness, theft, removal, damage, or loss. Furthermore, luggage remains the responsibility of the participant at all times.

5 - Formalities

Participants are required to comply with local regulations regarding customs, passports, and vaccinations. Chile Travel Agency cannot be held responsible for any consequences resulting from a participant's failure to comply with any formalities.

6 - Risks and Insurance

By agreeing to travel with Chile Travel Agency, you are required to personally purchase travel assistance and repatriation insurance. These assistance contracts are generally included in your credit card or health insurance services. If you paid for your plane ticket with your bank card, you are normally covered. You can inquire about this with your bank or contact a Visa or Mastercard center, depending on your card type.
If you do not have repatriation assistance, we will ask you to sign a waiver of liability.

It is also recommended that you take out trip cancellation insurance in case of force majeure (war, states of emergency, strikes, riots, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, fires, weather conditions, airport closures, etc.) beyond the control of Chile Travel Agency.

7 - Air, Sea, or Land Transportation

If your trip is changed due to disruptions in air, sea, or land traffic, for weather or administrative reasons, we cannot be held responsible. Any resulting costs will remain your responsibility. If your checked baggage is lost, damaged, or delayed, the company may be required to pay you compensation. Your claim must be submitted within a specific timeframe, as detailed in the terms and conditions of the airline, sea, or land company.

8 - Hotels

Hotel infrastructure in Chile is still far from that found in developed countries. However, we work with hotels we know and with whom we maintain relationships of trust. Chile Voyage cannot be held responsible if any problems (including theft) occur at a hotel.

9 - Luggage

Your luggage remains your sole responsibility at all times. Do not entrust its supervision to your tour leader. They are unable to perform this task.

10 - Disputes

Regarding the conditions of the tour, it will be conducted in accordance with Chilean law and customs, as Chile Travel Agency is a company governed by Chilean law. Disputes may be resolved amicably. Any complaint must be made by registered letter to the head office address within 8 days of the return date: "CHILE TRAVEL AGENCY E.I.R.L" Alonso de Cordova 5870 OFF. 511 – Comuna de Las Condes – Santiago - Chile. After this period, no complaints will be accepted.
